Mabel Labels~ ends 9/21

Ok so it is coming up on back to school. This is officially our first off to school all day every day with our first born. I am so nervous that I am going to bawl my eyes out the whole day. Though he is 5.5 years old he is my baby no matter how old he gets.

Our Eldest..

With school comes time to start labeling. You have to label everything so you know who's is who's. For our school everything goes in a big pile and only a few things need to be labeled. For Example his Gym shoes, folders, and extra set of clothes bag. But I know other schools you have to label everything. This brings me to one of my FAVORITE companies Mabel Labels. They have labels for everything.

I love how these labels are safe in many situations..
What I mean is..
  • Skinny-Minis are dishwasher and microwave safe
  • Tag Mates™ are washer and dryer safe
  • Shoe Labels and Teeny Tags™ are waterproof and UV resistant
And they stay. We have the Shoe labels in his gym shoes and the tag mates in his extra clothes at school in case of accidents. These would be great if you are sending your child off to Camping too. The Skinny-Minis fit great on all his lunch box items and all of our sippies and bottles that I take to the gym. I decided to only put our last name on the set we were testing so I could use them for all the boys.

Fresh Baby ends 9/14

First off I want to say how much I love this company.. They make the products that I love to use. We have already reviewed their Cookbooks for baby and toddler along with their so easy storage trays. We love to make our own baby food and Toddler food. Why? Because you know exactly what is in it AND most of all the conditions under which it was prepared. I try not to think about it but seriously you get an ingredient label but you never get a snap shot of the kitchen or the factory that makes the products we eat and we feed to our children. Kinda Gross to think up the worst case scenarios. Maybe I have been watching too much Restaurant Impossible where the Chef goes in and reestablishes a failing restaurant. On almost every episode the kitchen should be condemned or is leaving food out and breading bacteria.. GROSSSSSSSS!!

So more reason to MAKE MY OWN and eat out less. :D

This go Round Fresh Baby has offered up for our review their So Easy Divided Dish and So Easy Baby Bowl. Both really fun products.

Movable Divider Keeps Food Separate

Double Body Construction:

  • Separates for Easy Cleaning
  • Keeps Food Warm & Cool Longer
  • Outside shell never gets too hot

Airtight Lid:

  • Spill-proof
  • Keeps food fresh
  • Great for On-the-Go

Dishwasher Safe (top rack)
Freezer Safe
Food Safe

Our Thoughts~ This is a very neat container. It has a movable divider so you can really get the food in the slot and if you can't you can make the spot bigger. It has a snap tight lid and is great to take along dinner for your toddler or baby. It even works nice as a take along snack for bigger kids. On one side we had grapes and the other was a muffin bar and our kids thought it was a great little treat and fun to put in the diaper bag.

Stainless Steel Bowl Features:

Double Body Construction:

  • Separates for Easy Cleaning
  • Keeps Food Warm & Cool Longer
  • Outside shell never gets too hot

Airtight Lid:

  • Spill-proof
  • Keeps food fresh
  • Great for On-the-Go

Dishwasher Safe (top rack)
Freezer Safe
Food Safe

Size: 10 fl oz/300 ml

Our Thoughts~ What a cute dish and a great way to take your homemade baby food with you. Just toss a few baby food frozen cubes in the bowl and put the lid on. Keeps food colder..

Magic Cabin-Habitadule ends 9/7

One of my favorite Sites is Magic Cabin they have an amazing amount of toy, arts, music, imagination igniting Treasures. I love to look around and find new toys I would love to have for the boys. They sent us a Habitadule to review and play with. At first I was pretty confused and I didn't read all the way through the description. So I will post the whole description for you.....

From Magic Cabin Site~

Kids will be inspired to create amazing architectural designs with these large-scale construction pieces called Habitadule (meaning "livable spaces" in French).

Each piece is printed with an exclusive design on both sides for twice the entertainment. They will love coming up with new structures to build with friends, family or on their own, whether it's a performance set, playhouse, decorative screen - wherever their imagination takes them.

The possibilities that come from their thoughts can create endless designs and constructions. They'll also enjoy its unique cut outs that can create light effects: shadows, starry night scenes or observation posts.

Build with the whole family. Sorry, gift wrap not available. Set includes:

• 16 giant panels
• 64 connectors
• Assembly instructions and examples inside
• Stores in a cardboard suitcase, easy for putting away and carrying to grandma's, friends' or any play date
Pieces are made from Forest Stewardship Council-certified (FSC) cardboard that is lightweight and extremely durable with its two outer layers and unique honeycomb interior allowing it to hold up under pressure.

Available Color
Blue
Red

Size
Panels 25"L x 19"W x 5"H

Our Thoughts~ THIS THING IS HUGE. No matter what you make you are going to go BIG BIG BIG. My husband, kids and I had a wonderful time putting this together and I can't say it enough this is big.

We decided to try to make something from the examples inside the box lid first.

And the arch looked fun so that was our first thing to make. The pieces are of a thick cardboard and not of a heavy plastic like I originally thought (this is where I didn't read all the way to the end). With 3 rough big boys some of the pieces have already been stepped on an bent in half. Though they are still using them and making things with them. Definitely hours of entertainment and imagination at work.

Our first HUGE creation.

Fast And Fabulous Look (Mary Kay Giveaway ends 8/24)

So I thought as a mom of 3 that I really laxed in my own personal make up and skin care but as a mom of 4 small boys who constantly need something I pretty much have given up on skin care and make up.

Desiree Gillette a Mary Kay consultant helped me find a quick and easy morning "Polished" look. When I first chatted with Desiree about this segment I wanted to find something that is a 5-10 min deal and out of the bathroom. As a mom of 4 small boys who constantly get into things and need things (ex. drink, food, potty) time in the bathroom working on the perfect look really goes out the window.

Before we get into the "Polished" look I want to mention it isn't all about the make up. You need to take care of the skin underneath to set up a good foundation for your make up to be applied to. Mary Kay has a 5 step process to taking care of your skin that comes in 3 easy to do steps because they have combined your Cleanser, Exfoliater, and Toner in one product called the Timewise 3-n-1 cleanser. By keeping this in your shower you can knock out 3 steps right there in your morning shower. After the cleanser is time to Moisturize with the Timewise Moisturizer. And then the 3rd step in taking care of your skin is your foundation. I always thought of foundation as part of your make up regime and not the skin care. But think of it this way (this is the way it was explained to me) if you have a moist wash cloth and you leave it out it will dry up. But if you have the same moist wash cloth and put it in a zip loc bag (Foundation) then it will stay moist. This is what your foundation is doing.

On to the Quick and Easy look for mom's or any woman on the go.

My Sweet little guy posing with the products.

My before look.

The Step by Step.

Anti-aging foundation- dot around your face and rub in a downward motion. Moisturizer is and up and out motion due to how your skin cells lay on your skin. You want to get the moisturizer up and under and in the layers but with Foundation you want a smooth look not feathery or flaky.

Cream Eye Shadow- you can do either one color for an all over brightening or 2 colors for a little more of a defined look. In my after photo I have 2 colors on. The lighter all over the lid and the darker accenting the crease and the corner.
  • the cream eye shadow is crease proof so it will not clump up during the day
  • fast and easy
  • natural, yet creates a polished look
Cream blush- I know everyone is a wee bit scared of blush. But what I found out it isn't for the rosey cheek look it is to bring attention to your eyes.
  • cream blush is fast and easy
  • and helps create the natural look by drawing attention to the eyes
SPF 15 Tinted Lip balm and a brown (brown is a little more of a softer look than the black) mascara to finish off you quick and easy look.

My After Photos look.

Honestly I love the look. I like how easy it was and how it makes me look a bit more awake instead of fresh out of bed and exhausted. This fresh and fast look is like Coffee for my Face.. :D
