More Make it Fast Cook it Slow~ ends 2/2

More Make it Fast Cook it Slow is the next cook from Stephanie O'Dea. In this cook book there are 200 Brand-New, Budget-Friendly, Slow-Cooker Recipes. Again they are all prepared Gluten free but you don't have to cook them that way. Stephanie cooks Gluten free due to family dietary restrictions.

Our Thoughts~ Again I love that there is 200 more Crock pot recipes I love love love cooking in the crockpot leaving me more time to do other things. With 3 very busy boys and being pregnant I am so wanting the easy way on dinners right now. This book is set up differently then the previous book. It is also broken down for your budget in mind. The 3 main areas are set up as $7 and under, $10 and under and $15 and under. Then from those 3 broken down into your typical cookbook labels of beverages, breakfasts, appetizers, soups and stews, beans, side dishes, fish, poultry, beef pork lamb and venison, and desserts.
I also like there is a section on staples, like Making your own broths in the crockpot, sauces, shredded chicken for storing, and yogurt.

I made a few recipes but I love the staple recipe to show me how to easily take piece of bone in skin on Chicken and clean it up as much as possible and toss it in the crockpot. When done you shred it and put it in freezer bags to take out and use in those pesky recipes that call for cooked chicken. One prep step down and so easily done.

To order the book yourself it is on amazon right now for around $12 More Make It Fast, Cook It Slow: 200 Brand-New, Budget-Friendly, Slow-Cooker Recipes. Personally if you buy yourself one on Amazon and then win the giveaway this will be an awesome gift. Or buy a few to give out as gifts remember Crockpot books make great, wedding gifts, bridal shower gifts, birthday gifts and even new baby gifts.

Here is the first book in case you haven't gotten this one yet. Make It Fast, Cook It Slow: The Big Book of Everyday Slow Cooking

3 Lollies

Some of you might know but most not. We are expecting Klauer Baby Number 4 in June and I want to share a brand that has gotten me through the queasy times.

3 Lollies Makes Preggie pops, preggie drops, queasy pops and drops.

What are Preggie Pops? (from their Site)
Preggie Pops are naturally flavored and specially formulated lollipops made for pregnant women. For generations, women have sought out certain natural therapies to ease morning sickness. As healthcare professionals, we have developed a solution: convenient, delicious, high quality and all natural lollipops. Preggie Pops offer relief via a combination of essential oils, aromatherapy and our unique delivery system. In addition, our Preggie Pops alleviate dry mouth, provide quick calories and energy during labor, and are an overall soothing and comforting way to address the needs of pregnant women. Preggie Pops are also drug free and healthcare provider recommended.

Our Thoughts~ The preggo pops I tested were great. Not only did they taste great (which is a plus when you are already queasy) but they also work. At the first sign of nausea I would pop one in my mouth. There are times that I felt like I was chain eating (sucking on) the preggie pops because as soon as I was done the queasy would come back but I just would pop another in and be on my way. These come in a few flavors ranging between sour, or mint and lavender. So you can find a flavor of choice if you have a really picky tummy. These are one of those must haves in your arsenal of day to day queasy first aid.

Here are some place they are sold if you want look up by location go here.

You can find 3 Lollies on the WEB

Driline Baby

Driline Baby let the Klauer review test out their Bamboo Baby AIO diapers.

Our thoughts~ These AIO OS diapers fit most babies from 8#s to 34#s. They are adjustable via the rise by snapping up the rise. You can tighten the waist by using the different sets of snaps or velcro depending on which you buy. They are AIO meaning the absorbent material is part of the diaper itself. The Bamboo is insanely soft and so far after many washes has remained that way. They do have an insert that is sewn to the back that you can fold over for smaller babies or lay flat for bigger babies. The only thing I have found is I wish that the insert was a little longer so I can double over for the boys. For girls it is not so much a problem since you don't have to come all the way up and over so you only get a single layer of protection. But our sweet little boy tester is a heavy wetter so we would love to see it just a little longer for that extra protection in the firing region. They do take a little longer to dry since they are all in one but they are a wonderful diaper. It is nice that there is no stuffing or snapping involved. All around a great diaper they sure make cloth diapering as easy as disposable only difference is you wash. With the AIO OS it is all there and ready you just take the dirty one off and put the clean one on. EASY PEASY

Find Drilinebaby on the WEB, and Twitter. Check them out and tell them the Klauer Review sent you.

Head Organics~ends 1/26

Head Organics sent the Klauer Review a Box of wonderful Goodies to try. The Goodies include, 2 in one shampoo and conditioner, Clearly head Shampoo, Clearly Head Conditioner, Extra hold Mousse, Extra hold Gel, Extra Hold Hair spray, Shine/anti frizz Serum, Styling wax and Leave in Conditioner spray. When we first got the box I was like wow.. I need help testing some of these products, mostly because I have really long hair so the styling wax and stuff really doesn't work in my hair. But Boy did that stylin wax work great in my friends hair. She has a cute pixie cut and she used the styling wax to stand out the back.

Head Organics formulas are free of harsh detergents and polluting chemicals to keep both hair and environment pure and natural. With world-class research and development, access to global ingredients and true “green chemistry,” this 100% vegan and gluten-free hair care line offers standout performance in both personal grooming and personal responsibility for the environment. Each product is masterfully blended with naturally derived, certified organic active ingredients, botanical extracts, essential fatty acids, glycerin, vegetable oils, natural proteins and coconut. (from their site)

Their Story~
So how do you create the first natural colored, pH-balanced shampoo? Simple – you take two very creative L.A. hairstylists (who were tired of inferior shampoo products which did hair more harm than good) and watch them whip up the first acid-balanced, alcohol free shampoo right there in the garage. Glamorous? No. Successful? You bet. Their clients fell in love with this shampoo – and with a healthy, happy and pH-balanced head of hair who wouldn’t?

So what to do next? Take it to the world, of course. They packaged their shampoo in simple, beige containers and sold it at head and paraphernalia shops. People couldn’t get enough of it (remember the “healthy, happy pH-balanced head of hair stuff?). From the garage to the head shop – this is how Head Shampoo was born.

Becoming one of the all-time leaders in the natural product industry was nice – and having Head Shampoo take the market by storm and become the favorite of health-conscious and earth-loving Californians wasn’t bad either – but Head Shampoo didn’t stop there. Today, Head Organics continues providing natural, high performance and quality products at reasonable prices that consumers can trust.

(from their site)

Our Thoughts~ Firstly I feel so blessed to get to try pretty much their whole line. I am excited that their products are natural but can do all the hold and style of the big commercial stuff. I got to play with the mousse and the hair spray when I went to the Marine Corps Ball this year with my husband. I pulled up my hair in sort of a 40's throw back look. And the mousse helped give me the structure and volume for the style and then the hair spray held it all night long.

Though I do have 3 favorite Items.

I am going to lump the Shampoo and Conditioner together. Their shampoo and conditioner leaves your hair clean and soft with out leaving a ton of gunk in your hair. I like this because I have long hair and when I use shampoos and conditioners with extra moisturizers and alcohol. First I end up drying my hair from the Alcohol and then over saturating it with thick goup from the extra moisturizer. But Head Organics leaves your hair nice and smooth and no left over residue.

Next is the Leave in conditioner. I use this practically every morning on myself and my 3 boys. It helps just smooth the bed head and easily brush out the tangles.

Also I love the Smoothing/Anti frizz solution. With winter sucking the life (moisturizer) out of hair leaving it full of static and all over the place, a little dab of this solution tames the frizz.

And Best of all these are not insanely expensive they run along side the Professional brands. Almost everything is $13.50. Definitely priced to sell.

Ok so we are changing this to a giveaway!!!!

Tabletoppers~ ends 1/19

table topper®

Disposable, stick-in-place placemats.

  • A Little Sheet of Neat
  • Protects Children from Germs on Restaurant Table Tops
  • A sanitary eating surface that sticks securely in place, (Think of it as a clean table...that fits in your diaper bag.)
  • On-the-Go protection from germs, dirt & cleaning chemicals on restaurant and food court tables. (It is kind of like a disposable security blanket.)
  • Fun and engaging designs that keep your child occupied. (So you can enjoy your meal, too!)
  • BPA-Free, PVC-Free, phthalate-Free
Our Thoughts~ These are awesome. Not only do they act as a barrier from dirt and germs and cleaning chemicals when you are out and about but they make for easy mess removal. I love these and buy these all the time. When we go to the mall we put it down on the table for Adam and then put his cooled pieced of Chicken Teriyaki on top and he eats on a clean surface and when he is done making is mess you just pull it up and off you go. MESS GONE! No scrubbing no picking up squishy stuff just GONE! Example the photo below was our son Adam's First Birthday..

Everyone knows how first birthdays go. Give the baby the cake and they destroy it leaving a tornado looking mess. Just pick up the table topper and you are done. Table toppers are secured to the table by 4 adhesive strips unlike some other brands that have only 2. This keeps the little children fingers from slipping under and pulling up your place mat. I carry these everywhere in my diaper bag.

I have found these at Walmart, Babies R Us, USA Baby, and Target.

Boogie Wipes

It is cold and flu season and I have to tell everyone about one of my favorite nose gunk removal products. The Boogie Wipes I found these one day when waiting for my son's prescriptions. After trying them out I was amazed at how they easily lift the stuck on nose crusties and you aren't rubbing and making the poor little nose red. The Gentle Saline solution in the wipes help remove the crusties while the Chamomile and Aloe help sooth the sore nose. I love the green bag ones but they have other scents and even unscented.

Extra soft, alcohol, phthalate and paraben free, Boogie Wipes are available in Great Grape, Fresh Scent, Magic Menthol and Simply Unscented. Recommended by pediatricians as a gentle, effective alternative to a dry tissue. (from the Boogie Wipe Site)

And they have even come out with an Adult version the Achooz.

Go check them out on the web and Facebook.

And find them at your local retailers

ReUsies~ ends 1/19

Tired of all the plastic sandwich bags? Trying to be more eco friendly? Then check out the ReUsies sandwich and snack bags.

ReUsies™ are a re-usable alternative to sandwich/snack bags, each one has the potential to eliminate hundreds of plastic bags. ReUsies™ are 100% cotton lined with leak-resistant nylon and are secured with Velcro® closures. (from the ReUsies Site)

Our Thoughts~ Personally I love products like this. Not only are you saving the environment but you are saving the ole' pocket book from buying all the plastic disposable sandwich and snack bags. Unlike other products of this kind ReUsies brand has a velcor strip on the outside for washing your ReUsies in the Washing Machine. My husband takes these for his lunch right now but come next year when my eldest is off to his first full days of school we will be stocking up for his lunch box :D

Priced around $15.90 for a 2 pack you could get your little one or you spouse a set for each day of the week. Check out these great reusable sandwich and snack bags.
