Ok I want to introduce you to my NEW FAVORITE COOKBOOK!!!!! Make It Fast Cook It Slow is a compiled recipe book from Stephanie O'Dea. If you are not familiar with her just by name yet she wrote a blog where she cooked one Crockpot recipe a day for a full year. Her site is called A Year of Slow Cooking I came across her site in 2009 after her year of crock-potting and I regularly scour her site for recipes because I love love love love using my crock pot and I love love love love how she set up her recipes for review and her cookbook is set up the same.
You get your ingredient list and then get your how to, but my favorite part is you get her verdict. Things like oh we loved this the kids had x amount of bowls. Or we had a dinner party and no one knew it was crockpot a well loved recipe. I love verdicts and with 3 small kids I want some recipes that I know kids will like. This is my new go to recipe book because as I just said I have 3 small kids and my crockpot has become my best kitchen/dinner tool. The only downside I can speak of is that as a stay at home mom when you have something simmering int he crock pot all day you are starving till it is done. :D

I would like to try the Crockpot Baked Oatmeal. Or the crockpot Granola. My kids love that stuff. I never thought about using the crockpot to make it.
