Ok so we have been working on this review for a while and I hate to review items so long but honestly I think our family is not very coordinated for this. We have had hours of giggles over this Spooner board and now are finally getting a bit braver on it so I could get photos. So here we go. Hearth Song sent us a Freestyle Spooner Board for review.
Here is a promo Video so you can get an idea of all the fun tricks. We have tried a few but have not mastered any so I thought a pro video would be better than us trying to demo.. lol
Product Description from their site.
The Spooner Board makes it fun for riders of all abilities to practice catching a wave, riding the slopes, or burning up the pavement— right in their yard or living room. Its symmetrical scoop makes it a great way for kids to get exercise while it improves balance and coordination, core stability, and gross motor skills. It's fun, safe, and virtually indestructible. It even works in the snow!
The Green 28" Pro Spooner is great for boarders over 4 feet tall, but is safe for all heights.
The Blue 24" Freestyle Spooner is ideal for boarders under 4 feet tall, but can be used by taller riders, too.

First let's talk about Hearth Song. I LOVE this site and their sister sites like Magic Cabin. They have amazing kid products that just engage our kids. As I said above we have been testing out this product a while because we really wanted to get a handle on it. I think it would be a bit easier for older kids maybe 8-10 age range our eldest is a newly 6 year old so his body coordination is not quite developed yet. But this Freestyle Spooner Board has given him a lot of time to work on his balance and coordination.
As you can see our tester Mr. Isaac is trying to attempt a spin.
I like that there are foot grips on the board so it sticks to your feet a little better than a smooth item would. It is fun to practice skate board, surfing and even snowboarding style tricks. Along with just basic kid fun or "what can I do with this?" Pretty much hours of fun with this item. There is so much to try. The Board comes packaged with a few how to tricks.
