Lowepro Passport Sling~ends June 8th (11:59pm Eastern)

Ok everyone ready I am super excited to share this.

Mostly because I have had followers ask me if I could research reviewing a camera bag.  As parents we don't want to miss capturing all those wonderful things our kids do.  And honestly I have taken to capturing some of their not so wonderful stuff with the expectation of Laughing about it later.  And I do.. Example the time my 2 eldest had an egg battle in my kitchen with 2 fresh 18 count egg containers.

Or how about the time my Eldest decided to put a whole container of Vaseline in his hair and we needed to try to get it.. Well We tried to soak some of the grease out with the corn starch.. Looked Hilarious.

Well I found the perfect Everyday Camera bag for the Photography loving Families on the go.. Well anyone really but I am looking at it from my family on the go eyes.  It is made by Lowepro and it is called the Passport Sling.  They have many bigger bags but this one so far has been perfect for our everyday family use.

Reasons we like this bag.  It holds my gear plus baby extras.  It has a low profile, just looking at it you wouldn't guess it is a camera bag and it snuggles up nice next to my body or I can loosen it with the easy sliding adjustable strap.  So let's look in my bag.

Nice and snuggly right let's see what it all is out on the table.

In the bag there was:
  • 1 Bottle
  • My Camera Battery Charger
  • Extra SD Card
  • Pack of Gum
  • Lipstick
  • Camera Remote
  • Tripod Attatchment
  • MP3 player
  • My Cell phone
  • Sony a390 with attached 18-55mm lens
  • extra lens my 70-300mm
  • lens light cap
  • External Flash
  • 2 diapers
  • pack of Wipes.

And I didn't even have the back end unzipped for more room.  And I really didn't have much in my 3 outside pockets... Just the bottle so you have a TON of space. I can put my slim wallet and my keys in the outside pocket making this a great quick jaunt bag and then for longer outings I open the back end and add a few extra diapers to the mix.

The Best thing is you can find this bag sold at most Walmart's for less than $50.  So it is an amazingly constructed bag.  Found at a convenient location.

  3. One of my tricks is to get photos from unusual angles by lying on my stomach or crawling onto tall objects!

Not really a trick, but I generally try to photograph in natural light, even indoors. Not a fan of using a flash. I also try to take more candid shots of the kids, less posed.

  6. When my kids were little I would have them yell (scream, even) a word or phrase when taking their pics - made for more natural smiles and expressions.
