 OK! You are asking, "What are Dripsters?"

DripstersTM are absorbable, non toxic sponges that slide up the ice pop stick to catch the drips. Great for any confection on a stick! No more sticky hands and floors! They come in fun shapes and colors! Choose colorful bullseye or star shapes! 
They are cellulose sponges that "puff up" when they get wet and can be rinsed and reused or thrown out. You can even use them in your sponge art projects! Great in birthday goodie bags too!  ( From their Page)


Our Thoughts~


These are neat.  As stated they are little sponges.  They come in a tight non used state as seen on my son Isaac's ( my tester for these) Popsicle stick.   What they do is they collect the drips off the Popsicle, so instead of his hands getting sticky and wet all the goo gets collected on the pad. 

As the Popsicle sweats and melts and drips the Dripster starts to puff up and absorb the run off.  After my son was done with his popsicle this is what the Dripster looked like.   Top View and Side view. 

This is what is usually on his hands.  Unfortunately I didn't think to get a photo of his clean hands to make a point.  But point is NO MESS.  MESSY DRIPSTER.... CLEAN BOY.. wow Clean boy.. That is rarely used around here in the same sentence.  

We did rinse it out and let it dry.. It does not go back to the regular tight weave state that you get it in but stays as a regular dry sponge.  I know you all can vision this since we have all used a sponge before.  But you can easily slip it back on and use it again and again.  They are great to throw in a ziploc bag and toss in the diaper bag for when you are out at the zoo or beach where you can buy a Popsicle.  That way you can get the cool down with out having to run to bathroom to clean up the kiddos.
